Born in Beirut, Lebanon, Nancy is primarily famous as a Lebanese pop folk singer. She was born to father Nabil Ajram and mother Raymonda Aoun in an Eastern Orthodox Christian family. She started performing since her childhood with the support of her father. She released her first studio album at the age of 15. Nancy Ajram rose into fame when she released her lead single ‘Akhasmak Ah’ in early 2003 which gained much publicity. Later her third album ‘Ya Salam’ became a huge hit.
Nancy married her dentist after three years of relationship. She has two children, both of them daughters. She has won several awards for her outstanding work in Lebanese music industry including Nojoom Al Mustaqbal Golden Award (1995), Middle East Music Awards (Mobinil) - Best Female Arab Singer of the year, Cairo (2007), Freedom Magazine - Best Female Arab Star of 2008, Egypt etc. She has also been working as Goodwill Ambassador for the UNICEF.
