Alan Berger, who headed the television division of Michael Ovitz's Artist Management Group (AMG), has jumped ship and gone to Creative Artists Agency bringing Katie Couric along. Berger will head up CAA's new news and public affairs department and also work with writers, producers, directors and production companies.
